Luxury Holidays Ecuador

Ecuador crosses a vast landscape from the Amazon Jungle, Andean Highlands and the wildlife of the Galapagos Islands. Get lost in relaxation in the small but wondrous natural destination of the South American country with Colombia and Peru at its borders.

Best Time to Visit

As Ecuador sits on the equator it doesn’t have summer and winter seasons, so weather is unpredictable and is generally the same all year round. So, the best time for visitors to go is either between June and September as these are the hottest months and there are typically clear skies with only a few showers, or between October and December as this is when waters become calmer.

Cuisine

The Ecuadorian cuisine is quite different to many other South American countries as some of their dishes include foods you probably wouldn’t have thought of. Arroz con Pollo (rice with chicken) and Empanadas are traditional dishes found in Ecuador, they also have meals with cooked guinea pig and Seco de Chivo (goat stew).

History and Culture

Ecuador has gone through many changes throughout its history, involving their political development, and they have also found that most of Ecuador was populated from people of Brazil moving to the West many years ago. Ecuador is made up of many different cultures, not just one. They have strong musical traditions and they have a specific sense of dress as people can be easily spotted from their style of clothing.
